It’s 5am and Rich got back from his work’s Christmas dinner twenty minutes ago. He doesn’t understand why I’m so pissed off… Apparently he walked home, that’s why he’s so late, well it’s three miles from the town centre to here and the restaurant doesn’t stay open that late! Apparently he fell over a lot and hurt his hands, he wants sympathy.

I can’t see sympathy happening in the near future, especially when he doesn’t make it to the Breakfast with Father Christmas that we’ve already paid for! We had to buy tickets weeks ago!

Or when he vomits.

Or when I get no help with anything tomorrow.

Especially when, after spending all day in bed, he actually makes it out of the door to go to ice hockey.

Seriously, he’s 44 now and every time he does this he admits he’s too old to do it anymore, then he has the opportunity to drink and he doesn’t know when to stop!

I have a cut off point, that moment when I know that one more drink will make me feel Crappy, but he just wants to ‘keep the buzz’. Well the buzz never stays, the buzz turns into puke.

So yeah, really pissed off right now.

  • edit. He just got up, fell into the bathroom and puked. There is encrusted blood on his neck, ear and in his hair. And it just makes me even more pissed off.

  • edit two. And I just opened the door to the post lady and the entire contents of his wallet were scattered across our driveway!

  • extra edit. We’ve chatted and I’ve even been civil but punishment had been in two parts so far, I bought the family edition of Trivial Pursuit today (it was on sale at £18) so I encouraged a family game, on the bed because daddy didn’t feel up to coming downstairs. And now I’m falling miserably to wake him up at ice hockey time…

I hope his hangover is long and brutal, well not too long or brutal, you need him back to normal, big hugs!

The wallet in the driveway really is the last straw. Ugh! So irresponsible. Make him go to see Santa and suffer :))

I told him I didn't want him there, the smell of alcohol was oozing from his pores even after showering! X

Oofta! Maybe he needs to do what my friend's 14-year-old had to do when she came home bombed: Get up and make breakfast for the whole family. File away for future reference, although I hope it doesn't happen again!
