Life is Strange in Adventures From Prison

Life is strange. One moment you have the job you've always wanted, a devoted wife, and plenty of friends, then in a heartbeat its gone. You wake up and your head is reeling as you stare out from behind bars at a razor wire fence. Nothing makes sense anymore. All sense of justice, of right and wrong, have been turned upside down and all you can do is try to survive.

What you should know is this: I'm a 35 year old, white man who once spent his life working as a writer and trainer for some fairly well known companies. I am currently 3 years into a 15 year sentence at a Federal Prison. I've never stolen a cent or hurt anyone -- I simply made a mistake and broke laws I never knew existed. I am well educated and was once a proud yuppie.

One last thing you should be aware of -- I'm not typing any of these entries. We aren't allowed access to the internet so I've drafted my Mom to help me communicate with the world. If you notice any big lags between entries its likely because she hasn't gotten my letters yet or she didn't have time to type them. Have patience, it'll be worth it -- I promise.

This diary chronicles my experiences here in prison in the hopes to reaffirm to myself that the world is larger then the area inside these fences and to hopefully make some new friends. I think you'll be surprised at what life is like for the incarcerated. It's not all gloom and doom. Life goes on if you let it...
