No clue in Well now

I still have an OD subscription that I’ve been paying for even though I pretty much stopped writing.  I happened to check it the other day and I find that it’s shutting down.  The deadline, the actual date it goes dead, will be January 31. If you want to get your writing, the export feature has been discontinued. You’ll have to copy and paste each entry.

I have kept a personal journal since I was 13. I had boxes of notebooks and leaherbound blank books and three ring binders. After 25 years of paper and pen journaling, I found the OD in 1999 and started journaling there. In 2005, hurricane Katrina ate my house and everything in it, including my boxes of journals. The hurricane not only ate all my possessions, it destroyed all those pages of written memories, thoughts, and records of what I’ve done, who I’ve been, and how I had changed. I was left with only what I  had written into the OD from 1999 to 2005. I felt like I lost most of my past.

I really had thought ( dumbb me ) that the OD was safe and I didn’t need a backup.  I was paying monthly to safely store  my formerly paper brain. Did I mention Dumbb Me?

Yeah, I’m going to have to scramble, to copy and paste decades of journal entries. I have no idea how many entries there are and absolutely no idea whether I can transfer everything in the time allotted.  I’m going to temporarily store them here because it will be the fastest wat to move things - one - entry - at -a - time.

Heavy sigh.
