Even if you quit years ago. And you can get anyone of the cancers.
This is what I found....

Yes, smoking dramatically increases your risk of dying from many cancers, especially lung cancer, but you can still die from cancer even if you’ve quit, as past smoking elevates long-term risk, though quitting significantly lowers it over time by allowing your body to repair DNA damage and boost immunity. Smoking damages cell DNA, leading to uncontrolled growth, and can weaken the immune system, making it harder to kill cancer cells, with risk increasing the longer and more you smoke, but it’s never too late to quit for better outcomes.
And yes quiting alcohol you will also die sooner.
This is what I found....

Yes, quitting alcohol, especially heavy, long-term use suddenly (“cold turkey”), can lead to potentially fatal withdrawal symptoms like seizures or Delirium Tremens (DTs) if not medically supervised, but death can also occur from long-term alcohol damage (liver disease, heart problems) even after quitting, highlighting the importance of professional detox and ongoing support for recovery. For those physically dependent, stopping without medical help can trigger severe reactions as the body adjusts, making professional detox essential to manage risks and complications
And the same is true for pot....

So it doesn’t matter what you do or rvrn don’t do you can still get cancer like my dad has. he smoked until I was a teenager and now he has prostate cancer and because of his age he won’t be getting any medicle help. I have told him he is an idiot and he just says he knows. But then he says the same about me so I am ready to die. I even have told those who I care about they have everything I own but then they don’t want it so they will give it away to a charity. And fortunatly I won’t have any money so whatever they inhearit will go to taxes or and they will have to pay for me to be burried. There is no cremation because I am Jewish.
But what I want to know is how can anyone tell me that because I smoke I am a second class citizen? As long as I am not smoking in front of you why do you care? But then if someone you love and they are doing any of these why are you not telling them how disappointed you are and that you are forced to watch them die? And how drunk do they have to be before you want nothing to do with them? When my brother in law has just one drink I will not travel anywhere with him because driving after haveing one drink is illeagal and he knows this so I go no where with him. But he is like all the rest of the drunks..He needs to have that drink as soon as he is done work and then will drive with two or three beers in him. And there was the time where a cop saw he didn’t have aseat belt on and then he had to do the sobriorty test and he lied about how many he had to drink and then in the end he got his keys taken away for 24 hours. So there are still stupid people who think it’s okay to have just one drink and drive. But then smoking pot and driving is just as bad. But then what do I know, I am just a smoker who is killing myself slowly.
