On Thursday the 4th of December I got taken ill with a horrible bug that had me feeling queasy while here at work, then on the Friday it really hit me. I was violently shaking all over, thumping spacey headaches, guts felt like they were twisting up, it hit my permanently damaged back and rheumatoid/osteoarthritis, various bone/muscle/joint pains.
I close our shop at 4pm but that day I closed at 3:30, with fuzzy eyes and awkward and painful walking.
About 9:30pm I was sitting on the edge of the bed being violently sick into my bedroom rubbish bin as I couldn’t get to the loo in time.
I was OK with drinking, still guzzling loads of liquids but couldn’t hold any food down except cereals and fruit.
For the entire week it crippled me and made me very weak and wobbly. Hubby was brilliant and checked on me and made me hot water bottles and made me laugh.
As of today, Friday the 12th I’m over most of it now so yesterday when I closed shop at 4 we trotted around to the Co-Op a couple of minutes walk away and I was using my 4-wheeled seated walker for balance as I was still a bit wobbly.
Just as we were about to go the the checkout hubby asked ‘’Would you like a drink?’’ Where he led me to the booze aisle and bought be a bottle of Baileys and a bottle of Baileys Terry’s Chocolate Orange! £18.00 well spent!
