Thanks for everyone’s notes on yesterday’s entry. Yes! I guess LinkedIn takes similar safety measures as most other social media platforms, and that’s a good thing.
But it got me thinking about harassment.
It’s just SO SAD that there have to be safety measures in the first place - especially revolving around work, livelihood, our living situations. Like, why can’t predators leave us alone when we’re looking for WORK?!
It’s one thing to be a weirdo when I’ve already got the job, but it’s another to be a fucking WOLF when I’m off my game. I suppose that’s maybe the point? Predators look for any and all vulnerabilities?
Uggghhh.
Okay, let’s do this, Monday. Let’s start another week. It’s going to be a short one from the job search perspective, and I have a lot to do today:
- TWO initial interviews this morning - both for jobs I’m not super excited about; both would require fairly major moves (one to a target city, another to my ‘unlucky’ city…and that’s a scary prospect right there, but I’m very qualified for the job…)
- 5 follow-ups to people/companies I’ve already spoken to
- get my health insurance in order!!!
…but first, a good workout and then an everything shower, including washing my hair (which I do about every week and 1/2)
