Hi frens. It's a december update wrapped in a christmas update. So here we are. Where am i this year? Blargh. Ups and downs, lefts and rights. Things are fine for the most part. This December was fine for the most part. Nothing overly noteworthy happened. Nothing even majorly in video game lore, I downloaded a couple games which have been fine (Monster Train and a Game called Frontier hunter, which is.. fine but I don't like the fact that you get these cores and you lose them when you swap them out, which would of been fine if the game told me that.) Even gatcha games have been kind of dull. HSR is in a long patch due to Chinese/Japanese tensions and ZZZs next patch is in 3 or 4 days away. More on the board game stuff in a moment.
But honestly. I cannot really talk about much. Packers have been yeesh. Parsons gets injured, and a collapse but still looking good for the playoffs. (I wanna say 95% chance) so we shall see. I don't think they'll make the Super Bowl due to the MASSIVE AMOUNT OF INJURIES, but eh.
It's been a bit cold and windy but that's december for you. I got my mom a new fabric drawer for christmas because she really needed one and TBH I wanted the older one for my dresser and move some stuff around. It was really easy to assemble, i'm glad it was. I also got the friends that shuffle my stupid butt around some gifts, and one of them was burning about 31GB worth of audiobooks which took the span of three days.
OH! I know something goobertastic that happened, I got faster internet speeds! Like 450-500 MB download speeds instead of 45-50MB. Which TBH it is awesome.. BUT it was an adventure.
First thing that happened was the cable company coming and ripping out the old stuff and adding the fiber network. Problem is.. I didn't realize they were taking the old modem and router, so what that meant was "fortunately" i had an old router. That was 13 years old. and i barely remember the password. THEN i realize that router was SO old the download speed was like 3MB.. so it was really bad. BUT we toughed it out for a week until we got the cable companies arbitrary network set up, the guy comes, looks at it, says something about my cable box being old (in a very thick eastern european accent), leaves. I'm thinking oh he's going to get replacement stuff. Never comes back. So i call the cable company and explain the situation and the next day they come with an actual representative, instead of a contractor, get everything set up, even my bedroom which i only really use for when I take a bath, he was cool. I'm happy with the situation now. I should have the new modem somewhere different but it works. It was just a weird experience.
I guess I have another story, I was standing at walmart (which BTW the lines went back to the electronics section) with my headphones on listening to a very very disturbing scene in Swan song when this old guy behind me saying something about the packers losing bad against the bears, I just smile and say something about the steelers helping them out. Then I kind of put my earphones back on but then the guy starts talking about his granddaughter in colorado going to high school with jordan love.. which.. i don't know if that's true or not but i smiled and nodded. BUT the moral of the story is headphones on = llol don't talk to me.

Children of Morta: Based off the video game, it's a fun rogue like dungeon crawler. Keeps in tune with the video game (they had to nerf my favorite character, lucy because she's really hard to play now lol.
Chicago 1875: I backed this ironically on christmas eve last year and got it on monday this week. Its a heavy stock market, worker placement game, I really enjoy the premise (more on this in a second)
Those two I got for christmas, the games I got for christmas:
QE: An auction game where you bid on whatever the carp you want but if you bid too much you can't win.
Expeditions: A neat little multi use card where you are exploring siberia in this weird steampunk post WWI world.
Origin Story: A super hero trick taking game that's totally strange and bonkers.
White castle: a dice drafting game that's supposed to be really good.
Moonrakers: A deckbuilding negotiation game where you are fulfilling contracts with others.
Faraway: A game where you lay a path out then score in reverse. Its weird.
Tend: A flip and write, and scratch off game that's basically stardew valley, your tending animals, chopping wood, fishing and mining. It's really cool.
But something i really started to get into, is Board game arena a website where you can play board games, and a carp ton of them (1100 if i recall) so i started using it because of Chicago 1875, to help me learn to play it. I played a bunch of games on it already, I decided to get the paid subscription for 2 months (10 bucks not bad) and ill probably do a year (40ish bucks) but ive played a lot of games on it this week alone.

That white packers shirt is such great quality, those letters and logo are raised, and there is a NFC logo on the one sleeve and the logo in the center is on the other side. The grey shirt is good quality, and that hat I was tepid about because I could not find a good way to get a size, i just had to guess and I guessed right. Also that puzzle is cool, im gonna get some puzzle glue when it's done and hang it somewhere.

So that's about it:
I am gonna watch the stupid amazon game, cause i'm getting 15 bucks in either PSN/Amazon credit cause of the program i am a part of, which is how i got a lot of things.
