Hi Frens. This November was fairly quiet. I got my tax issue fixed thankfully. That's the big news. I mean outside that nothing noteworthy that isn't Board game or Video game related this month. That's good. Things are calm. For the most part. Thanksgiving is thursday. That's good. Food and football is always a good combo. I'll probably fire up a solo board game after the packers game. (go pack, more on that in a second)
In it pays to yell and complain news: I had to use a website to convert a PDF to writeable, I thought the 99 cents was a one time cost, i paid it like whatever, THEN a week later I got a bill for 30 bucks for a month! I was livid because I was not told that the 99 cents was a trial, I didn't get any form of advance notification to cancel, no nothing. THEN I was told it was un refundable. WELP I complained to freaking PayPal for a payback (After 2 very complaint filled emails) and lo and behold I got my 30 bucks back. LOL I'll never use that service again even if i need a pdf conversion program lol.
In Audiobook news, I started swan song, which is a classic book from the late 80s about a nuclear apocalypse. It's 29 discs (it currently is taking up all my potato iPod up at 20 discs so I have to transfer the other files in a bit.. lol) The narrator is...... weird. He narrates fine, his voices for characters is..... okay BUT when a character is in despair he gets... weird. Oh well so far it's fine. I also got new headphones, i got traditional over the ear ones, I paid a bit more for these ones and they are made by sony so they are gonna be a bit better. The earbuds i had before were like 4 bucks and they lasted about 4 months. hah.
Packers news: That was.... an interesting past couple games, I think the ship has been corrected, but we shall see, thursday is a big game, I think they can win but we shall see. The lions have done a correction since the start of the season., the packers offense has kind of slipped but eh. Who knows.
So In Video game news:
I got this beautiful game, It took me 51 hours to beat and it was so much fun, I cannot wait to play it again, that being said, Its humorous but not as much as the first one (I compare it to the orville seasons 2 and 3, good story mixed with humor instead of humor dominating the story like the first one) and there were a couple deep moments like made me go WTF. (More on WTF moments in gaming in a moment) But i enjoyed it, the radio stations were great, the combat was fun (its amazing how much my gameplay style in these shooter RPGs have changed, sniper rifles FTW). Companions are fun and all in all great.
I also finished fallout 4 after I was done with OW2, I was kind of disappointed with the entry, There was a big explosion in the middle of the city, like a nuclear explosion and.... the city survived.. like how. And nothing else happened. The game was fun, sided with the railroad but that ending felt a bit flat.
After that I found one of my favorite roguelike games Children of Morta for 5 bucks, I bought it because I was pondering getting the board game with my survey money so i wanted to play it again to see if i wanted to get said board game, Its about a 15 hour game...... I beat it in 3 days lol. I also preordered the board game because I do enjoy the game a lot, and it isn't a long board game TBH.
In Gatcha game news. HSR I got a lot of characters, Cyrene who was the focal point of the entire final half of the story, her light cone (Weapon) and Castorice with her light cone. (I jokingly call Castorice a Goth GF with a HUGE PURPLE DRAGON, and she's the demigoddess of death) But I'm glad I got her. She's awesome.
ZZZ Nothing big really, I didn't get the second character on the patch because she spends HP like candy and i'm tepid AF when it comes to HP draining characters in this game, its more difficult to heal. New patch on wednesday though. I'll be getting a new character then, Diayln who...... I think is some form of weird Ubereats driver? I'm not 100% sure lol.
BUT..... I was scrolling through the PS market, many many many times (I started at the A and went through to the Z and just looked for something) I found an interesting game on sale, I checked the reviews, and its got a 95% positive review aggregate. It had posts on the subreddit "Cozy games" (more on THAT in a second) And there is a cool resolution for challenges (A neat card mechanic) AND it was on sale.. So I decided to get it.. The game is called "I was a teenage Exocolonist" Its about a kid growing up on humanities first colony. You start out at 10 years old and it goes for 10 game years.. ahem.. So i start it up.. AND THERE IS CONTENT WARNINGS ON THE MENU.. and these are not light content warnings, "Main character deaths, Kid deaths, Sexual Assault, etc etc." i'm like.. HOLY CARP.. but.. ok.. i start it up, get my character made up, got my best friend (A shy kid who's the weirdo) Two game months in...... ONE OF THE KID CHARACTERS DIES (off screen but still) and this wasn't a sickness/cancer type thing.. THIS POOR GIRL GETS ELECTROCUTED!!!!!! Im sitting here agape.. like holy forking carp. I shake it off, and a bit later, the teacher AND the main scout leader die as well! I'm almost paranoid to click next month because i'm afraid of something bad happening! There are 27 endings from what i see but.. this game is NOT cozy just because of the death thing! The game is fun, the stories are cool but holy carp.
In Board game news, I got Spooktacular which is a fun little game about being a movie monster, scaring people and devouring them (its all tongue in cheek) Its really easy, funny, corny and a lot of fun, I played it 3 times in one night so that says thing. It's like 45 minutes a play. So that's cool:
I also kind of mentioned I preordered the children of Morta Board game, Cooperative, a campaign (Eh.. but runs are like 45 minutes, so you can get through a couple chapters even with fails, so you can probably power through a campaign in one or two settings, OR you can play a one shot. I call perma dibs on Lucy (The youngest who's a fire mage, my favorite character in the game)
I also did a top 100 for board games, which i'm gonna post on here either tomorrow or wednesday, and on Facebook soon, been kind of lazy, did it last week but eh. There was a bit of a shakeup at the top 10 but eh.
I don't think there is much else to talk about. These entries are 25% real life, 75% gaming talk. But eh.. hah.

I'm kind of hungry. Getting the rest of the groceries for thanksgiving tomorrow. Grocery Delivery is fun. Gonna finish watching this MNF game (its been yucky, 4 turnovers so far and its only the third quarter) and I have Tom Grossi's stream who is a good guy and fun to listen to instead of the tv.
