I’ve been reading scholarly quotes… words of advice from the Founding Fathers, great authors, brilliant poets, anyone skilled at sounding intelligent. And I wanted to give it a try. I wanted to see if I could create something that sounded close enough to have potentially come from one of these great minds. Below is, to my knowledge, a work of my own. Short, of course, but palliative advice such as this must always be short.

The problem with being well read, is that it is no guarantee of a well lived life. However, I would rather be well read and dead; than utterly foolish and alive.

I like it. It also reminds me of Red Dwarf's "Better dead than smeg." :D
