Hi! It's good to see you again!
I've been in some form of contact with most of you since riding off into the sunset all those years ago, but let's catch everyone up just in case.
Note that this is the short version. I will most likely write about these things in more detail as time goes on.
When last we left you, Socks (Dana) and I broke up and I was pondering where to go in my life. About a week after the breakup, I saw some messages on her phone. Turns out she was having an affair for the previous six months or so. Needless to say, there hasn't been much contact since. HOWEVER, I mention her because she surfaces later...
I decided that when I was ready to date again, I was going to go back to non-monogamy since that worked for me when I was married (remember *that*? It feels like a lifetime ago!). I took about a year to heal and grieve, and when I felt ready, I dove back into the dating apps. I met some really lovely women, some of whom are still friends.
The shutdown put the kibosh on some of that, but I still had a fairly active dating life. It was just a little modified.
In the summer of 2021, I met N. We hit it off right away, and we've been partners ever since.
In December 2021, I met E. She and I were partners for just over two years. She broke it off with me in April 2024.
In November 2024, A became my second partner. N and A know each other and get on famously. We just celebrated our one-year anniversary last weekend.
I'm still doing a lot of dating and seeing other people in various iterations. N and I also attend swinger parties and have met some really fun couples.
In other news, I left my job after 14 years. The environment had become too toxic, and I had to go. I landed at a place that is infinitely less toxic, with a lighter workload and more pay.
So.
