Spar finally has their own Rewards card! A lot of discombobulation was going on!
I tried to register it yesterday, and the assistant told me to load it onto my phone, register it, then return with it, and it would be registered in their till system. On my PlayStore, there were several different Spar Rewards including in Sri Lanka, Ireland, and Zimbabwe! No English one! I tried the Irish, but it wouldn’t accept my phone number.
It suggested I try the QR Code thing on my mobile, which came up but wouldn’t register!
It appears that the card system won’t accept my Android phone! It’s the only mobile I’ve got!
A supervisor and 2 other assistants tried to register it, but with no luck!
I got onto the website that sugested I sign up with WhatsApp to register, and send a message saying ‘’Hi’’ which I’ve never been on before, never had any interest in it at all so I spent ages trying to register, with WhatsApp through PlayStore, it eventually came up, very confusing as I couldn’t work out how to send the message, and there were 2 phone registration numbers I had to clock on, but eventually I sent the message then it told me the message had been sent.
Now what?!
I went back to Spar and the brilliant manager who registered a physical card with me there and then, within just minutes!
So now, I FINALLY have my own card! Every £1.00 spent = 1 point!
I’m always in there, multiple times a week since 2017, to the point that all the regular staff know me by name, so it won’t take long for my points to add up!
I quit the Co-Op card - cut it up - when they swapped from the point system to funeral and insurance stuff! I’m still a regular customer, but without the card now!
