Working Out and Christmas Shopping Friday, November 12, 2004
I have been doing a lot of working out lately. I joined a gym awhile back but haven't been using it until recently. I have been doing the stair-stepper. My back is killing me and I believe the stair-stepper is at fault. After the gym I go swimming in the pool at work. The maintenance guys over filled it the other day so the water is right up to the edge. I love it when it's that full. I don't know why though. I guess the water just looks more inviting.
I really enjoy swimming at night when I am all alone. I turn some music on, usually Evanescence, and swim laps back and forth. My favorite thing to do is swim under water so that I can't hear anything at all. While under the water I just float so that my whole body is competely surrounded by water. It's very relaxing. I also like to float on my back and look up at the sky-lites. It's so nice to just be alone and think.
I went Christmas shopping today. I got six people done. I have nine left. This is truly the earliest I have ever done my shopping. I am trying to get it done so that the rest of my spare money can go to the holiday dinner I am cooking. I am cooking for the family this year. This could be scary. However, I have my roommate to help me. At least I hope I have my roommate to help me! If not, I will ask my sister to help me. I am pretty sure she will.
I finally met someone through my online dating service. Well, I haven't exactly met him, but we have been e mailing back and forth. It has been going pretty well. It's kind of a neat story. We were both cancelling our subscriptions. However, before I cancelled I replied to his e-mail he had sent to me giving him my hotmail address. He e mailed saying that he was in the process of cancelling when his phone rang. When he got back my e mail was there. So he e mailed me back. It's a pretty cool story to me. Anyway, our e-mails are getting longer and longer to each other and it is looking good. However, it's way too early to tell.
