Good morning. The days roll by. I must spend a good chunk of today on the job search because yesterday they fired one of the 3 Blind Mice (what we co-workers call ourselves), and now we are 2. Sad.
Yesterday was so dramatic and chaotic. And honestly, very sad. Have you ever watched a company crumble in your hands? That’s what this is.
The short of it is, they let our social media person go for suuuuper petty reasons. In simplified terms, when Head Cat decides he doesn’t like someone anymore, he simply ghosts them. And that’s what he did to this co-worker. So she couldn’t do her job because HE IS the character that our socials are about…and when he stops communicating, how is she supposed to post anything?
So now, since Kitty Cat is leaving and one of the 3 Blind Mice is gone, there are only two of us still on payroll and the rest of the “company” are freelancers.
And when I tell you I feel like I’m on an island once again, I feel that way more than ever.
OK. I’m going to put on my workout clothes and get the day started. Please send good job-hunting energy today!
The world (honestly, our country) is a dumpster fire, but we still have to eat.
