The work days roll by…
I know, I know! I need to write about Head Cat and Lesbo Kitty, but I’m scared to right now because so many of you know me IRL (or via Instagram) and I post about him on the regular. He’s litigious, and so is SHE! And were I to be doxxed, they both would not hesitate to try to sue me for defamation, I’m sure. So…the day that I quit is going to be the day I let it allllllll out, baby! And I can’t wait!
I’m sure there will be more, but I’m trying to keep things under wraps for now.
Do you remember my time at The Cutie Pie Company? Remember I sent that LinkedIn message to the former fellow employee who, unbeknownst to me, was going through a manic phase? I told him I’d turned in my resignation and he took my message, along with some other messages (from others!) that were defamatory, and posted them all together on Instagram, tagging The Cutie Pie Company!! And my name was the ONLY name that was outed, so Chief Cutie thought I’d written allllllll of the slanderous messages and threatened to sue me! Remember? She also told me that she was connected to everyone in town and that she’d make sure I never got another job in this industry again! Gotta be honest, I was freaking the fuck out.
So plllleeeeaassee don’t OUT ME. Thanks.
My job search is a struggle. The company that I know I was meant to work for just had a major shake-up in their upper ranks. These were the people I recently connected with on LinkedIn, and now all of that was for naught. I swear, finding a new job at 57 is a struggle. But I will continue to search, network, reach out, apply because it’s a matter of time before my time at Cool Cat Company is over.
I need to work on my vacation plans for the rest of the year. I have a lot of vacation time and if I quit, I don’t believe that this company would pay me out. Let’s see. Just looked. I have 16.6 days of vacation left this year! I’m going to take several PTO days in October for various things (friends coming to visit, birthdays, etc.) and then I guess I’ll take a bunch over the holidays since I’m not sure if I’ll be able to secure another role before the end of the year??
It’s been fun-ish working remotely, but ughhhhhh…I am ready, ready, READY for the next role that will hopefully be a hybrid situation.
Okay. Gotta roll for now. Work is calling already and I need to take the dog for her walk first!!
