The past couple of days I have started to get more and more excited about my up coming week of driving lessons and test for my lorry licence, I am counting down the working days with only 18 days left. I am still disappointed that I have to wait an extra three weeks longer than necessary due to one of my co-workers booking leave on various days over a 3 week period.
I am trying to get in the mindset of forgetting work after hours and only focus on the current. I have always been a forward planning person and this has always made me feel unsatisfied and restless at times.
The weekend was enjoyable. I travelled on the train to a small village called Willand in Devon on the train to watch a FA cup qualifying football match. I managed to squeeze in 6 miles of walking to and from the train station to the ground. I met some interesting people at a friendly club and enjoyed the warm October sunshine… T-shirt weather in October just seems wrong!
Sunday was pleasant, spent the afternoon with the parents having a meal and walk round the market town of Bridgwater.
I slipped up massively on my diet on Monday. I went shopping and purchased a pizza and packets of Pringles! Not a good way to go. Although, I suppose the odd slip up in healthy eating is to be expected.
I have an evening wedding reception to attend on Friday. I am keen to avoid the under dressed disaster of the last wedding that I attended. I am strongly considering wearing my suit jacket, shirt and trousers. I would rather be over dressed than under dressed. I have been doing some research on the internet and the majority of message board give the opinion that wearing jeans to a reception is a bad choice. As I am driving I will put a trendy set of jeans in the car just in case everyone else is ‘dressed down’. This wedding will be the first major test of my 100 days sober challenge as I have traditionally got very drunk with the group of friends who are involved with this wedding.
I have decided to set myself some fresh targets;
• Complete my C licence and obtain and new job/career
• Get to 16 stone
• Local and online shopping
• Coin star (get rid of all my copper coins)
• Refurbish the garden
• Buy a computer chair
• Buy a new iron and ironing board
• No booze (100 day challenge)
• Invite parents for dinner
• Develop social life and activities
• Get into walking
• Visit North Devon, Isle of Wright, Birmingham and make Scilly Isle trip plans.
• Hoody shopping
• Buy new trainers
