So, for the last few years, one of the hottest lost media searches has been for a song, originally called “Everyone Knows That”. In 2021, a user going by the name “Carl92” posted a slightly distorted, 17-second clip of the song to WatZatSong, asking anyone if they knew its real title or artist. Then, Carl92 lost interest in the song. The rest of the internet kept looking for it.

And then.

TL,DW: It was found in a skin flick from 1986. No wonder Carl92 “lost interest” in the search.

Although… Let’s be real, here: Watching a nearly 40-year-old porno is not the most shameful thing you can do online. It’s not even in the bottom ten of “most shameful things to get caught doing online.” Not in 2024. Not even in 2021.

As for the song itself? Um…

Yeah, I love this. I’m not even joking, this song genuinely slaps. Like, I wouldn’t have been surprised to learn it was a Hall and Oates song. It’s not, it was done by the Booth Brothers, who’ve been super-nice about all of this, and might be releasing the original song as a single? I hope they do, because I would totally buy this.

Yawl, lost media searches are wild, sometimes.
