They treat forgiveness like a stroll in the park.
Well, some mental wounds don’t heal overnight.
More is needed for a six-year-old scar in the heart.

They silently wonder why your moods have to be so dark,
while they keep on acting as if everything’s alright.
Sometimes you feel like tearing their conscience apart.

“You’re weird,”
that’s all they can say. “Perhaps it’s true; you’re such a freak!”

Is it still a surprise that you want to throw a fit?
It’s not okay.
Their feigned ignorance just makes you sick.

“Come home,”
some may suggest. “Come home more often.
Perhaps that will solve your problem.”

“Only MY problem?
What about yours?”

You know you have to put your mind to rest.
But these days, who knows what’s really best?
There’s still no solution on how to deliver them this bad news: “What if you guys have also been part of my problems?”
