Today’s blood pressure reading was 142/91, at about 2:45 pm. This is still not 120/80 but significantly better than what it showed last night. I went back to my book about suggestions for helps with essential oils and again found reminders to use the Life Long Vitality supplements that I have but not readily available to use as those I do take on a daily basis.

Instead, today I remembered to use the Louise Hay suggested affirmation while I bounced for 10 minutes on the mini-trampoline, while listening to baroque music. My jumps were a bit more energetic than I’ve done so far, with my heals going off the tramp most of the time, although was still not brave enough to actually jump. As I jumped, I was saying “I joyfully release the past. My life is at peace,” which is what I thought I remembered from the affirmation book. When I went to the other room, quite out of breath and with tired legs, I used the timer with the tiny hourglass (which would make it a 15-second glass I guess) from the Shapely Secrets program. As I did the short workout I used other affirmations as I typically do, making sure to smile at reflection in the mirror. I am divinely guided and protected. I am loved. I am safe. My life is at ease.

I’d stayed home today (using the accrued sick time) so I could sleep off the headache that I woke with. Last night was one of the interrupted sleep nights in which Ron’s catheter came off in the wee hours and we needed to change the bedding out from under him, which completely woke both of us. Interrupted sleep tends to lead to headaches for me sometimes, and this morning when Chris arrived and turned on the light, I realized the light sensitivity and unhappy tummy seemed like the old migraines I used to get. I went to nap on the couch in the darkened living room and when I got up is when I actually did the workout I talked about earlier. My head still hurts a little, but nothing like it did.

I remembered the Rosemary help for migraines, and I remembered a few other oils for relaxation (Vetivir, Frankincense, and Juniper Berry were my picks this morning) and these did seem to help. Oh, and I also used the Past Tense blend that was made specifically for headaches and other pains. It did seem to help tremendously, and even the blood pressure is better this afternoon (when I finally remembered to check). Still high, but not as scary as yesterday. I’d had the morning smoothie earlier with the almond butter, apple, blueberries, egg, flax seeds, and help seed oil. Life is good and I do miss my ordinary routine at work!

I’m putting oil samples in the mail today as promised last week. I’m hoping for feedback about how the oils interacted with the people who receive them! Living in rural Alaska leads me back to the postal system once again, but I’m still thrilled for the online addition to modern communication options!
