I don’t expect everyone to read my posts regularly and I know my new entries show up on the front page and random people will see them.

I read entries from people I don't regularly read, therefore I expect others do too. And everybody starts somewhere. Expecting a new reader to go back over years of entries would be a bit much.
I try to put context in any entry that needs it.

Only if they're MEAN!! I lurk a lot, and I suppose it wouldn't surprise me if others lurked too. I don't like the idea that someone is reading just to snark or belittle me.

Not as much as when I write an entry and say something like "I went to church on Saturday evening so I did not have to go on Sunday morning." And someone will leave a note asking why I didn't go on Sunday morning, i.e., thinking I didn't go at all. Not sure I'm explaining that.

I usually do too. I kinda wish I were more regular in writing and told more of what's going on in my life. Years ago I did write more and I flatter myself that people liked reading what I wrote. I feel really purposeless and unanchored in my old age. I'm sorry about that.

I don’t mind if people ask me questions. I am flattered anyone reads my boring entries :-)
