I feel like I'm in a rush to tell you things. But I'll start typing and then I'll bore myself, and give up, just you watch.
1) There is an intern in my office who I really like, both as a person, and as an intern. And his 3rd year of law school starts next week. He'll be away from the office more. bummer. There's nothing there, there. I just like him. He's a chill guy, married to his high school sweetheart with a little boy. His last name is the same as my maiden name, so though we aren't related, I guess I feel a sorta kinship with him.
b) I've been applying for a few new jobs. What a daunting process. Mostly I'm just tired of the second hand trauma that I'm faced with everyday. I just would like people to be nice to each other; keep their hands, penises, vaginas, fingers, tongues, guns, knives, bats, hammers, cars, theivin' hearts, and drugs to themselves. Is that really too much to ask?
iii) Dating someone now, been doing that since July 7. Nice guy. Just about as opposite from Greg as one can get. His name is Shannon. He brings a lot of joy to my life. Doug isn't doing so well with the change, but I don't know if it's Shannon, or the fact that his father and I aren't together, or that I'm dating someone, or because he's 11, or just WHAT it is.
Speaking of Doug, among the things that worry me is that we had some blood work done last week for him. We go next Tuesday because of high cholesterol and ... I panicked, and sort of stopped listening to the words that were coming through the phone. The real bottom line is that there is a lifestyle change in the works for both of us.
