I did my VA this a.m. and decided to go to a food pantry we have here in town and see what I can find for him. I don't have the $ to buy his food and mine but I will see what I can do. Then at 2 I went and did another client. I had no idea it was a skilled nursing. The place was ok. Actually ran into an old resident from the second alf I worked at. Funny how worlds cross. This lady who I took care of - O WOW! A hand full. She is old and has alz. but and can not walk and constantly moves. all. the. time. I spent 6 long ass hours there and will never ever go back. She had to be fed and that was impossible. I gave up. I forced the other CNA's who worked there to help me. There was no choice. She would reach out and grab what ever she could get a hold of. I had a big black dude help me put her to bed. Then when I changed her I had to go get another person who I later found out was an R.N. and she helped me. She grabs, pulls and is just impossible. I showed the woman from my company how to keep her hands out of reach so she can take care of her when she had to. They hand out hospital gowns and I showed her how to cover her hands with it so that way she can clutch and tear out the gown and not her. At one point I asked the nurse to give her something. It lasted mayby an hour tops if that. Ugh. People are put in our lives to test us and she just plain wore me out.

It is almost 11:30 pm and it's still 84 degrees outside. School started today for lots of kids. Summer is over. Christmas will be here in 15 minutes it seems. I am going to grab some milk n cookies and call it a night. Good night to all and to all a good night.
