summed up in one short conversation in Wife 2014

Just checking in. If you wanna know how I've been doing and feeling lately, I can sum the past few weeks up with one conversation:

My husband and I were considering getting the old car detailed so we can sell it. Husband looked up the prices and most are around 300$. Considering our very tight budget and that we are always over budget each month, I volunteered to detail the car myself.

He said, Well you're not any good at it.

I was so happy with this (that's sarcasm ppl) but wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding my husband so I asked, Is that your nice way of saying I'd probably suck at detailing a car?

Husband, Yes.

Not that he's ever seen me detail anything but you get the gist of what my week has been like. It's been like this since I got home from vacation actually. Not that vacation was grand either, but that's a whole 'nother story.

I'm hoping soon my husband will stop asking how I'm doing bc he always gets the same sarcastic response and it's never what he wants to hear. Eventually he'll figure out I'm never really going to be 'okay'.

So in the future, if someone asks me if I'm okay, I'm gonna relate the above story and ask them how they think I'm doing. But I probably won't wait to hear the answer.

Hopefully next entry will be more cheerful. :)
