Tomorrow's my 35th birthday, and I recall doing some numerical entries like this in past blogs. I feel it's a tidy way to summarize things.

Car's mileage: 77,444. Not bad for a 2003 Honda. I drove it a lot in its first 4 years, then since I moved to California in 2007, have barely driven it. It's starting to feel like a crapshoot whether it's worth it to even keep paying for it. Maybe a ZipCar would be more cost-effective?

States lived in: 4 in the US (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, California), 1 in Germany (Baden-Wuertemburg).

Cats owned: 3. 1 is dead, 2 are still alive.

Number of years worked at longest employment: 6 yrs, 5 months to the day.

Shortest employment: Probably the job I had directly after college, which I quit after approximately 5 weeks. It was a financial planning company, and I took the job without realizing it was all-commission. Yeah, pretty stupid.

Most unusual job ever held: I've had some strange ones, so it might be a toss-up between sound editing for a lab that was developing digital language instruction materials for Native American languages, and working at the gift shop of a horse farm that put on classical riding performances.

Number of siblings: 1 sister, 8 years younger.

Number of cousins: Paternal -- 8; Maternal -- 6.

Number of living grandparents: 2 (both grandmas)

Number of US states visited: Whew, a lot at this point. Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Nebraska, Virginia, Florida, Washington DC, Washington, Oregon, Louisiana, California. And yet... that's only 25! Just half. I know I've been through others, like Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey (airport), but that was when I was kid, driving to Florida with my parents, so I don't think that really counts.
