Geez, when did March happen? Or even 2014? My calendar is still stuck on December 2013. ha. I'm not even sure I bought a calendar for the new year...wow I'm behind.

Today has been nice though. You forget how much you really appreciate a day off until you're working non-stop six days a week. It's hard to believe the season's almost over. At some point I'm sure I'll get used to skipping over the first four months of the year, but it's still catching me off guard for now.

I need to start keeping an eye on jobs for the off-season. I'm at this point where I would really like to start saving up for a house. There's gotta be something to look forward to, no? Maybe sticking around here forever won't be the worst idea ever, but I have to have something of my own. Some thing I can make all the decisions about without having to consult anyone. I want to build up and/or destroy my stuff with no restrictions. That seems like the most freeing thing ever. And I kind of want it as soon as possible. Hence: needing another job.

We're actually thinking about expanding the business, but I still can't wrap my head around the idea of taking money out of it. I know I should. It's just like anything else right? It's totally not that way to me though. Not sure I'll ever be able to convince myself otherwise. I'd rather be poor and stuck in this same ol' room than take a regular paycheck. Just can't escape that darn family loyalty. ;-)

So yeah, day off. I slept in quite a bit. I knew I would. It was a long week this last one. Then I spent another hour or so in bed because I didn't feel like moving. Once I was finally up I realized that I didn't have any internet access. Way to kill a day off technology! Plus there's nothing on TV so I'm mostly bored. I've been listening to music and finding random things to do. Even explored outside a bit. We finally got a decent amount of rain so I threw on my boots and went to survey the damage. All is intact. The trees and a few other plants are starting to bloom but I'm afraid it might be too early in the season. They must be super confused by all this strange weather.

Oh well. I'll surely enjoy them for however long they last. I'm in the middle of trying to plan out garden ideas. The zucchini adventure last year really sparked my interest in the whole thing. I'm debating raised beds or not this year. I'd definitely like to do tomatoes, peppers, and perhaps zucchini again. I'll have to start buying supplies soon since planting season will start immediately after my work comes to an end. We'll see how it goes. Something productive like this seems like it would keep me entertained. Help me feel like I'm not wasting all my days. Plus, salsa! mmm. I can taste it already!

Ok. There isn't that much to talk about [story of my life...] so I'm going to go try to figure out this internet thing, or find a movie to watch. I'm sad my day off is almost over. Starting to feel refreshed though!

rose.
