Thank goodness for those Say Yes to Cucumbers face wipes! I've been using them for awhile now when I can't wash my face twice a day (thanks, exhaustion..). They are good for taking off make-up too, but I haven't worn any in awhile... someday I will wear it again. I do enjoy looking nice, even if I don't go anywhere.

What skin products do you guys use? I like Burt's Bees and Yes To, and I am curious. I've been thinking of trying Lush, but I can't seem to walk in there because of the scent overload.

I had to get my bangs re-cut today after getting them cut a few days ago. She didn't do a great job. And she smelled like cigarettes. I wanted to gag.

I've noticed that a lot of chefs smoke. We watch a lot of cooking competition shows, like Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen and SO MANY of them smoke, but isn't that bad for your palette? To be a good chef you have to have a good palette... so smoking just seems really stupid to me when you're a chef. I mean, it's stupid in general, but worse when your profession involves having optimal tastebuds.

I had donuts today. I hated myself when I was done with them, but they are SO GOOD. D: I think I will spend the rest of the day finally finishing the second book of Swamp Thing and maybe re-starting the Hitchhiker's Guide series... I have been reading a lot of non-fiction history stuff but one thing about history is that it is very depressing half the time. I keep wondering why I am getting a degree in it... whenever I leave a classroom after a lecture in a history class, I just feel down. Ah, well.

I should really get a library card.

I really want to try Lush but it's pricey!

I love Lush lotion. There's one that's unscented. http://www.lushusa.com/Perfume-free%3A-We-Do-the-Coco-Lotion/articlecoco-lotion,enUS,pg.html (though I'm not sure they sell it now?) I can't handle being in the store long enough to check much else out. My poor sinuses.

That's actually a really smart thought about being a smoking chef. I never would have thought of that and I watch shows like that too. Chef Ramsay..ugh lol He's definitely one of my older man crushes. lol

I went to culinary school. I've worked in a restaurant for the past 12 years. It is an extremely high stress job. Hence why most cooks and chefs smoke and drink A LOT of booze! Sadly, a lot of cooks tend to be drug addicts as well. I've worked with some amazing people, but their lives have been rough and hard, and they cope with the stress of the job and their lives by using.

I don't get why so many chefs smoke either. Seems dumb!

I use Proactiv because it's the only thing that keeps me from getting pimples. And I'm frickin' 34 years old! I don't want pimples! I never had bad pimples, but even the occasional one was just annoying. I used to use Mario Badescu, but had mixed results with their stuff. The Proactiv just works and it's not overly expensive.

I use Avalon Organics for face wash. I used to use them for most skin and hair products, but I use Giovanni for hair now. Often I try out random brands on sale at the health foods store, but Avalon is probably my favourite for what I pay. Maybe try you local farmers market as well. Homemade products can be pretty hit or miss though.
