I Have realized... in Me Being Me

That nothing in this place I pay rent for has ever been serviced and that is why things always have to be fixed or replaced. This moring when I woke up I can feel the heat comming through the vents and in the bathroom and the rest of the week there is no heat. And I don’t think it matters what tempature the furnace is set at there should be heat comming through when the tempature reaches it’s settings.
And I have noticed that the filter for my dishwasher is starting to get cloged. There is only a small spot right now and about 6 months ago I asked the landlady if I can clean it and she said no. And I can see more dirt on the filter and it’s only going to get worse. And I even rince my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher so i am not sure where this dirt is comming from. And aslo about 6 months ago I asked if I can see if the pipe to the kitchen sink should be cleaned out and she said no to that. So it’s not like when these things stop working it will be my fault.
And I have noticed that my fridge gets too cold and things start to freeze because I think there is something wrong with the tempature but the landlady says it’s fine.
I just worry that because nothing gets maintained by any professional and clened that she will blame me for when everything stops working. I do try to take care of things but I can only do so much. My knowledge of how to fix anything is very limited. And when something isn’t working right I try to get it fixed by the landlady but she just never thinks it’s important enough to actualy fix it at day one.
Well. today is rent day and hubby will be giving the rent cheques to the landlady after work today and also telling her because the way my hearing is that I might not hear her knocking on the door so it’s best she calls when she wants to come down and then I will give her permission. And also to get a new filter for the furnace. I just hope this time she listens and does what I have asked because I am getting really tired of her just barging in when she feels like it.
Onto something else....
Prawns are on the menu for tonight and I need to find something I haven’t done before and is low carb. And then there is the domestic work that keeps piling up and never ends.

I really feel you should change the filters in the dish washer...usually it is just a matter of cleaning out the filth that collects in there... we clean ours every few months. if you want things to work perfectly you will pay top dollar for rent. low income rent is always just border line working.

When I lived in government housing when things needed fixing they got fixed and after something like 10 years I got everything replaced to new. But when I moved here I was paying even more rent like times two and nothing gets replaced or maintained and if I try to fix or change anything I will get evicted. But the dirtier the filter gets the more I will complain about it. But the filter looks like it's bolted on and I don't have the tools to take it off.

Because I am not old enough. I need to be at least 65. But it's on our list to think about when I get to the right age...
