Receipts in Me Being Me

The one thing I like to get when I pay cash or credit card is a receipt so I can keep track pf what I spend and then later pay my credit card off before I get the statement. And if I pay cash for my rent I always ask for a rent receipt just so I can prove I have paid my rent. I am still waiting for my rent receipts from the landlady. She got two months of cash from me and I asked for rent receipts and I still don’t have them and that was two days ago I asked for them. She said she will give them to me so I was expecting them the day after she came back. So now I figure she just forgot. But then I have asked for a few things from her and I always have to remind her weeks later. I hate that. I figure when I ask someone for something I expect them to do it for me and if they don’t want to do it then just say no. When somone asks me to do something for them I will do it the second or two after they ask me just so I don’t forget. And plus I figure the soon I do whatever they want me to do the less time I have to remember to do it and then I can go on to something else. I actually prefer to do most everything myself because to depend on others I always have to wait for thm to do it and it often takes more time for them to do it then when I do it but something like rent recipts I have to depend on her to give them to me and she always drags her heels when I ask for it and other things I want her to do. But whatever…it is what it is and I just have to remeber her memory isn’t as good as it once was or like mine.

Onto something else…

I talked to my son yesterday for a minute and asked him how he is feeling. He told me he feels much better and thinks his covid is gone. He thought he had a test for it but he couldn’t find it so he figures he used them all so he will get another box in the next day or so.
I am still waking up coughing and starting my day around 2 or 3 am so it makes for a really long day. And during the day I am sneezing a lot more then I would like to but I figure it’s this cold I still have; although, it is much better then it was. So I am on the mend.

Onto something else…

Tonight for dinner I am going to be making a beef stew. It’s been a long while and it will be a nice change from chicken and pork and fish. And it’s one of those dishes that is in one pot and clean up is easy. And I am also goiung to be doing some laundry and the dushwasher has to go on and two beds need to get cllean sheets on them and of course the other domestic work I really need to do today because I am starting to think it will all turn into a science experiment if I don’t get it done.

Onto something else....
I have realized that all these things I am doing to get rid of the mold smell is not working and I am gertting really tired of wasting my money for this bandaid solution. So I got two more cheap air fresheners and that will be it. I may not even use them just because they only last for less then a week. I figure I have spent about $200.00 to make myself able to live here and none of what I have done is working. The heat vest I got works for about a minute till it gets too hot and I get a heat rash. Even on the lowest setting I get the rash and then there was the fan that wasn’t strong enough because I need an industrial type of fan and the pinsol doesn’t work really work for the mold because it’s still in the wall which has to be ripped out and repalced so I am just getting really sick and tired that I have spent all this money and I am still no better off then I was when I first noticed all of this. There are two things which I have had to live with for 10 years and it’s only getting worse. One is the crack in the cement in the lkaundry room and it looks like it’s getting wider and longer. I figure it’s about two inches wide and 10 feet long and will only get worse. Right noiw it would cost about $500.00 to seal it and if it can’t be sealed then it will cost about $1500.00 and the water damaged floor has to be totally re done and new boards have to be put in and I know that will be a pretty nickle and the wall in the laundry room has to be replaced because the partical board is all rotten and water damaged.
I figured I have paid something like $60.000 dollars in rent and there has been nothing done. Well I kinda lied…I have gotten used appliences like a dishwasher and a fridge and a oven. I am finding that the fridge doesn’t close properly because the white rubber like stuff needs to be repalced I call it the door seal. And the thing that makes the light turn off when the door is closed is missing so something like cleanex and duck tape has to be used.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind some stuff to be used but it has to have some sort of warrenty and a phone number I can call so I can get it fixed. I really dislike people who have no real experiance fixing things and they are not certified to fix things. I know when my landlady fixes things she gets the cheapest parts and I know it will stop working in a matter of time.
My parents had a microwave that just stoped working and the smoke from it went inti the fridge motor and it was just awful. So my parents bough a brand new fridge and microwave and got a guy in to fix the smoke and now that only took about a week because an industial fan had to be used and now there is no more issues.
If that happeend to me I would get blamed for it because it’s my microwave and I would be forced to pay for a new fridge. And I would most likly be eveicted.
I am so afraid to have anything break here even if it’s mine because she will blame me and threaten to evict me like if I accidently put grease down the kitchen drain. And since she fixed that pipe I have asked at least once if I can see if there is anything in the pipe and she said no. So now I know in a matter of time something will plug the pipe and I will get blamed for it and eveicted.
And I found out not to long ago that the landlady is not allowed to tell me this is her house and she can do what she wants. I was told as long as I am paying rent she has to respect my so called home and listen to when I say call when you want to come and get something or do some work. So everytime she comes down without calling me I tell her to call when she wants to come down. And if she wants to fix something she has to give me at least 24 hours notice so I can make sure the area is cleaned up so she has a clear space to work.
Oh and for some strange reason the heat has been between 68 and 73 since she got back but I am still scared that she will turn the heat down to 62. I don’t like waking up cold. But the thing is that sometimes I get too hot and it would be nice if I could turn the heat down to where I find it more comfortable. And I am afraid to ask her because when hubby gets home she won’t turn it back up.

Onto something else....

Property taxes are now due here and they are going to be going up probally next year by 17.5% and 9.5 for the transition of the police. We are going from the RCMP to the city police and there are some people here who think it’s a waste of money to do that. I think I like the idea of our own city police. I know right now my landlady’s taxes are at almost $10.000 dollars so going up this much will probally make her want to sell her house. I wish I knew how she is going to pay this because even if she raises the rent it won’t be enough. She is only allowed to raise the rent by 2% and she hasn’t raised it in 10 years since I have been here and then she says she is giving me a break but the way I see it if she did raise the rent each year then maybe more things would get fixed and I would have better appliances that actually worked like they should.
