I'm beginning to feel that the State Education Department has something against me, personally. I sent out my huge, complicated, multiple-steps-long application for my teaching certificate/license on the 20th of June. I had to wait for the Dean of the Education department to come back from vacation so he could sign off on certain parts of the application, and I also had to take some things in to get notarized, wait for my transcripts and my Praxis Scores to arrive, and all that jazz. I had to get a $125 cashier's check from the bank so that I could pay the processing fee for the application. I had to get to the post office and wait in a 45 minute line to post a $3.00 piece of mail. It was received on the 25th, and I got it back yesterday with a great big DENIED letter on the front.
The letter states that my transcripts were not OFFICIAL. They were COPIES. They went through them and stamped "COPY" on every single page. What jerks! I paid $12 for those!! I may have mis-read the website, but I was under the impression that these transcripts were ever bit as genuine as the expensive versions, and being that I JUST graduated from college with a 1 year UNPAID internship, I was going for the cheapest option available, plus it was the fastest one. The transcripts even came with a letter on how to verify that they were originals, and the top of the page was labeled ORIGINAL OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS.
WTF?
So now I have to order the more expensive, more time consuming version of the transcripts for $30, and wait 5 days for them to arrive. If I'm lucky, they'll get here on Friday and I can go mail off my application AGAIN that same day. The trouble is that my mail carrier doesn't show up till around 3 or 4, and the post office closes rather early, as well. And honestly, my mail carrier seems to never actually bring my mail, so I probably won't get the transcripts till Monday anyways. I'm SO PISSED OFF.
I've had THREE People with HR at the school district email me and ask me if I could please attach my certificate so they can consider me for openings. I emailed them all back and explained the situation, and they have said that until I can be VERIFIED (until the EED office accepts my application for my official licensure) I can't really be considered for the positions. WELL THAT'S JUST GREAT! BEcause the hiring process starts for most of the positions on Monday. YES, tomorrow. And here I am, waiting 5 more freaking days (minimum) to even get the last piece of paperwork I need to RESUBMIT my application AT ALL. AND THEN! It takes the EED department a week or two or three to get around to processing my app.

I'm SO pissed off. I'm NEVER going to get a freaking job this year, there's just no frigging way! This has been such a shit show circus lunatic event. I am SO pissed off. SO! SO! SOOOOOOOOOOO! Pissed off.
