NJM #28 - Fluffing in These Foolish Things

It was a good day. I didn’t have to work until 1:30 this afternoon, so I slept in a little and got a very, very good walk in the sunshine with Martini this morning. Then to the grocery store where I picked up all the fixins for another giant kale and chicken salad and something to eat today during my break, then home to the Treehouse where I opened the door to the balcony and let the clean, fresh air blow in and made my oats with berries and the best latte ever.

Had a few emails to follow up on and then it was time to go back to work.

The best things I did today at work:

• Fluffed all the clothes about 10x over
• Did some mandatory employee training on the computer in the back office. Is it wrong that I was happy that it took me off the sales floor and away from other human beings?
• Was flirted with by a guy named Baber (I’m assuming that’s how you spell it - the guy was Indian and told me to pronounce his name like “bobber - like, when you go fishing”. He was cute and I hope he comes back in the store sometime.
• Tried on a yummy chocolate brown sweater dress. Alas, it wasn’t quite right. You know, the color brown is back and it is one of my best colors, but you have to be very careful with it or you’ll end up looking like a turd. After a good talk with myself in the mirror, it was determined that this was a turd dress and I need to spend my hard-earned dollars on something that flatters me more than a shit-colored fuzzy dress.
• Steamed some GORRRGEOUS golden pleated column dresses that look like they belong on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. Le sigh
• Had a day without Dick Manager being a dick in my ear (she was off today)

I now have two glorious days off work and I need to maximize the hell out of them! It’s going to be warm tomorrow so good dog walks and maybe some outdoor shopping for Martini and me!
