I gave in and did this survey to pass some time because I’m antsy about some things regarding work. I think my answers might be too detailed, but this was fun to do!
Do you put ketchup on hot dogs? Not anymore because I’ve taken processed meat out of my diet - with the exception of ONE corn dog/year at the state fair. Back in the day when I would eat hot dogs, yes. I was Team Ketchup all the way (not a fan of mustard at all).
Choice of soda? I drink those hint-of-flavor bubbly waters. Like Bubly or La Croix. Does that count as soda? I don’t drink Coke or Mt. Dew or any of that stuff. But… if there is ever a Fresca around, I’ll drink it. Why is Fresca so elusive?
Do you put salt on your watermelon? Not as an adult, but when I was a kid and we’d get watermelons, my parents would put salt on their watermelon, so I’d just follow suit.
Can you swim? Meh. I’m not much of a swimmer, but I can do it. I’m mostly a dog paddler or a bounce up and down in the water kinda gal. That’s IF I even get in the water!
Hot dogs or burgers? Neither (see: colon cancer). I do still eat chicken, so I’ll have a chicken sandwich or a turkey burger or a veggie burger.
Favorite type of food? Love Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Mediterranean… if I had to pick one to eat for the rest of my life? I’d go Mediterranean, not because I love it the absolute best, but that it’s the best FOR your bod.
Do you believe in ghosts? I don’t know if they are considered ghosts, but I believe that there are angels walking among us. I believe this with my whole heart.
What do you drink in the morning? Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea OMG. I put it in a thermal mug and drink it when I take Martini on her morning walks. I am completely addicted and don’t think I could go on morning walks without it.
Can you do 100 push ups? No. Not even on my knees. I need to work my way back up to this. Soon.
Favorite season? Hello. I loooove the Fall. I think all redheads are required to love autumn the most.
Your favorite animal? Martini. Hands down. But she’s basically my child and not really an animal, so my favorite wild animal I think would be… maybe a miniature horse? And I don’t think those are wild animals either, haha! I’m always fascinated by monkeys and how human-like they are.
Tattoos? Tramp stamp that I never, ever think about because I don’t look at it very often. I have been talking about getting another tattoo next to where my chest port was placed (and since removed). I thought about an angel tattoo, but can’t find the idea that I truly like, so I’m still looking.
Do you wear glasses? I wear contacts during the day and glasses as needed after I take my contacts out.
Do you have a phobia? Well, I have mental and physical reactions when I have to go to the cancer center, so maybe that’s a phobia? Other than that, I don’t think so?
Do you have a nickname? I do. I have a few of them. My first name starts with P and many of my friends simply call me P.
First car? My brother and I shared a Mazda 626 for a while when we both went to the same college, but the first car I ever purchased was a Geo Metro! It was a tiny 3-cylinder, manual transmission with no air conditioning. What a joy that little car was! I think this was in 1990. I traded her in for a Toyota Celica years later, and that car was a badass.
Favorite movie? Raising Arizona and most other Coen Brothers films
Rain or Snow? Snow, as long as it doesn’t involve ICE.
Can you change a tire? I’ve changed a tire before when my dad was teaching me how to do it (life lessons, you know), and I’ve been in many situations where a tire needed to be changed, but no one has ever let me change a tire! I’ve been on sides of highways before and have always (thankfully!) been rescued.
Favorite flower? I just loooove when I receive them from someone. For a while it was calla lilies. Now I think it’s sunflowers and gerbera daisies. They are just soooo happy!
Can you drive a stick? Yes, and I do. It was funny the other day I went to valet park my car and the valet had to call someone else over because he can’t drive a manual transmission!
Ever go sky diving? No. And no real desire at the moment. That could change, but right now I’m happy to have my feet on the ground.
Favorite color? Green.
Favorite restaurant? Hm. So many. So many! So many places I’ve been that have been amazing. There was a place here owned by a local celebrity chef and you could sit at the chef’s table and watch them make dishes that looked like little works of art and tasted like magic. Sadly, the place closed and is now occupied by a slick Italian restaurant. I also love pretty much any of the Hillstone Group Restaurants.
Can you whistle? I can! I sometimes whistle when I’m happy. I just whistled now while I was typing this out. Ha.
Where were you born? In the Great Midwest of the United States of America
Surgeries? Ughhhh. Well, I’ve had my wisdom teeth removed and then a huuuggggeee chunk of my colon taken out. Also had a mediport placed and then had another surgery to have it taken out.
Favorite vacation? Too many to say. I really, really loved my Champagne Campaign, though - touring champagne houses in Reims and Epernay, France. Need to do another one of those. With a lovah.
Shower or bath? I normally shower. Every once in a while I’ll do a luxurious bubble bath, but I’m not one of those daily bath takers.
Last song you heard? Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift. “It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me.”
Broken bones? Broken heart a few times, but no broken bones.
How many TV’s in you house? Two. It’s a long story, but I only ordered one and got two.
Worst pain? Heartbreak.
Do you like to sing? Yes!! I don’t do enough of it, but I was a little singer extraordinaire as a youngster. Sang in my high school musical (Peppermint Patty in Snoopy!) and was the lead in my college sorority/fraternity musical showcase.
Are your parents still alive? Gratefully, yes.
Do you like to go camping? I used to as a kid. Back in the day my college boyfriend and I used to climb mountains and do serious camping. Now I’m more into glamping.
What do you binge watch? Trashy TV. I like the Kardashians, but I don’t have Hulu, so I haven’t watched the recent stuff. I loved Lost and Breaking Bad, but I never got into Game of Thrones. Most recently, I’ve watched The Morning Show and Dead to Me, two shows about very, very strong females.
Pumpkin or Pecan Pie? Team Pumpkin all the way! I’d eat pumpkin pie every single day if I could. It’s probably one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving.
A photo of yourself? No thanks. Those who know me in person and on the socials have seen me, but since my PB is public, I’m going to pass on this one. I still love you, though.
