Home Depot sent me the wrong rug. in The Big, Blue House, year one.

I put together this huge order, theoretically everything we’d need to have for repairs known and unknown for the next year, to justify the $80 delivery fee, and I included a rug that looked so pretty on the website, and they send me an ugly freaking rug.

So I go to the page for the rug, and do a Google Lens search, and see that they have SIX rugs, all with different names, with that same picture. So somebody put the wrong picture on five rugs. Which one actually looks like that??

I left a horrible review saying more or less what I just typed here, and took screenshots of all of rugs with that picture. I’ll check back in a few weeks to see if any of them have been changed.

I could return it, but then I’d have no rug, and it’s not the ugliest rug ever. It is soft. So I put it in the smaller second floor bedroom that’s supposed to be Don’s room. Mostly Elizabeth and Minerva, (cats), hang out in there and watch the birds.

The back window of that room overlooks the office roof. I put bird seed in a flat plastic dish with a string tied to it, and tied the other end to the handle on the window frame, and every night I pull it in and refill it, then slide it back out onto the roof. I realize I can’t do that forever. It’ll make a mess in the gutter. But until I think of a better idea, the birds love it. About two dozen sparrows eat it every day.
