The Story in Life As I Know It - 2022

So the other day I said I quit my job with the real estate company. Here’s why.

1. He called me on Tuesday and said I wasn’t far enough along and that I let 3 possible appointments go past me. That was the only 3 contacts I had all damn day. Know what they were??? One guy said he gave his home to his daughter because she needed a place to live. WHY would I even TRY to give my pitch when there’s no way he’s going to relist it????? One guy told me he’s absolutely NOT interested and hung up on me before I could even get another word out after saying “Keller Williams Realty”. So that’s not on me, the guy hung up on me!!! And the last one said “I’m already listed with Ian at Keller Williams”. Hence number 2 on this list.

2. It is UNETHICAL, per the board of realtors bylaws (which I looked up BTW), to poach another realtors client!!! He had a signed contract with this guy and it was going on the market next week. Tim told me “SO? I don’t know Ian so who cares?” WHAT???????? You’re telling me to do something totally unethical. NO FUCKING WAY!!!! I’m not going to get MY ass in hot water with the board of realtors before I even get my license. He can suck my left tit!

3. He told me he does not want me on the phone again until I have completely memorized the entire 5 page script WORD FOR WORD. And I have to have 1 appointment set this week. Ok so I was off Wednesday for court. That leaves me 2 days to get 1 appointment set. And you’re not letting me call until I have this stupid script memorized completely. Yeah that makes a lot of sense so.....no.

4. He said “If you can’t do this by Friday I have no use for you.” HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT!!! He has no use for me! Pat was outside while I was on the phone with him and I had him on speaker. Pat was absolutely livid and wanted to take the phone from me and tell the guy off but I wouldn’t let him.

5. And the kicker???? I told him I had to go because my sister-in-law moved back here and we were meeting up for dinner for the 2 year anniversary of Steve’s death. He had the fucking audacity to say “Well I’m in the middle of a hurricane, yet I’m still working.” MOUTH DROP.

What a fucking asshole!!!! I will not allow ANYONE to treat me that way ever again. So I’m done. I waited to find another job for part time until I can get started on the full time job in November. I need some sort of pay to come in. But my resignation letter has been written and signed. Just need to get a job officially before I date and send it.

I MIGHT have that job today. I went on an interview with Giant food in Frederick yesterday. I really liked the lady I spoke to and everything that I heard, and she seemed to really like me as well. We are really 2 peas in a pod. Similar backgrounds and beliefs. She asked me to come back in today at 1230 to meet the store manager. She wouldn’t do that if she didn’t feel I was right for the job. I would be going in the mornings to do “Data Management” which is basically going around scanning the bar codes to get price changes and putting the new price change labels on the shelves, changing sale signs. Things like that. Oh and filling in on register as needed. Easy peasy. I can do that. No lifting or stooping or getting on my hands and knees to reach shit on the back of the lowest shelf, no climbing ladders to fall off of. So I’ll know about that this afternoon. As soon as I know I’m going to send off that resignation letter. Screw Tim and his unethical, unprofessional, and rude bullshit.

In other news....

I have to go for my pre-op blood work today. Lets hope my anemia is completely resolved. I’ve been doubling my dose of iron just to make sure that my levels show up good because I do NOT want this surgery to be rescheduled yet again!!!

The increased dose of my lamictil (for bi-polar) seems to working. I’m feeling pretty evened out mentally again. Not the huge highs and lows I was having. Even dealing with Tims nonsense hasn’t caused me to flip or be extremely upset. It is what it is and I’m moving on.

Steven’s hand has improved greatly. They’ve been having him put silvadine cream on the burn which is miracle shit for burns! I’ve had to use it on myself in the past and when Kirsten burned her hand in the fryer at Popeye’s when we lived in Tulsa she had to use it too. The skin is pretty much healed and there’s only a small area that looks like a shallow cut on his finger left. He won’t need skin grafts thank God. There’s not even going to be any scarring most likely. Kirsten didn’t have any scarring after hers either. He goes back on October 4 to get a note saying he can go back to work.

Kirsten will know on Monday if she has the job she applied for. She had her 2nd interview and she said she nailed it and it sounded like they wanted her.

Anyway I think that’s all of the news now that I’ve had a chance to sit at my desk and actually type it out. Too hard to type a long entry on the phone. I wish I could post pictures in here because I have some I’d like to post. Oh well.
