Happy Friday!

LOL! For me, the last would be "I DON'T have to go to town". :)

What a beautiful horse...ridiculous that she has to sit sidesaddle.

I suppose it went with her traditional uniform.
I saw another pictures of her and Ronald Reagan riding big horses and she was astride, wearing one of her big head scarves. Animals are such a luxury, such companions through life, such ways of sharing our lives,,,,,
... she said as Gracie whimpers and rattles her teeth at the door - let me out mommy and make sure you give me a great when you do.
As I write that I think you would enjoy waiting on Graice, hand and paw. As perhaps the Queen would - for a while anyway.

I came back here to answer a note and looked again at the queen - so young, so ceremonial.... and thought - think how long the horse has been dead. He was as important part of the photo as she was.
To be honest the sidesaddle thing doesn't bother me. It went with her 'outfit' and the ceremonial aspect of the occasion.
Have you noticed photos of her driving a car? She apparently did that on her 'private' grounds. She looked to happy to be 'in control'. And of course remember poor Phil having to give up driving after an accident (or two)?
Funny how they all belong to us to varying degrees.

I'm kind of in town. Had to go to downtown, last year.

Sometimes I think I'll go to town and I don't. Staying home is easier.
A city would be so nice. Like the country only more stuff and less space.
Profound, aren't we?
