Good afternoon friends. How are we all this August Thursday? How are we already in freaking August. This year has just blown by us. I can’t even remember the first half of the year at this point, my brain is so fried.

Anywho, so Good news is, we finally got our money on July 20th. Holy fucksticks. We had paid off the car with an advance and gotten a few others just to keep us afloat and so our total gain once everyone was properly reimbursed was a little over $20k.

So far we have made a few improvements here and there, bought some necessary items. Took a trip to Tucson for a couple days and things are just moving along splendidly.

We are definitely not going to be able to do much in the way of renovating this house because of all the bills we had to pay and we’ll only have like $2k left after we pay everything off, which is just the shed.

But once we do that, everything we have we will own outright, we won’t have any monthly bills for anything other than utilities.

Speaking of that we got new phones through Xfinity. We had internet and cable with them, but we cut off the cable and added two cell phones. Bringing our total monthly bill down to like $120. So that makes a huge difference too. I got the Moto G Stulus 5 G and Randy got the Google Pixel 6. Finally we have phones that won’t break if you look at them wrong lol.

Uhmm what else. I finally managed to get an appointment scheduled with Dr. Posadas in Tucson. He’s my old Rheumatologist that I have been seeing for the last 5 years. My insurance is a nationwide network so I looked up if he accepted it and had them send the referral. So that appointment is scheduled for Monday!

That will just be a down and back trip. Good thing is the appointment is at 11:45am, so we can leave around 8:30, get there, and still have some time to get breakfast or something, because they are one hour behind us still. Then we can do whatever else we need to to there while we are in town and we won’t be leaving at the end of the day.

Come November when we fall back, we’ll be permanently on the same time as AZ which will make traveling back there a heck of a lot easier since I have to attend all appointments in person there since I live out of state. Whatever, as long as I can get my meds sorted, I’m fine with that.

It was always kinda trippy being like oh yeah it’s only 8 here and mom and dad would be like oh it’s 9 we’re gonna get ready for bed. An hour makes a difference lol.

Let’s see. In other news, I finally ordered a bunch of stuff I have been needing off of my wishlist on Amazon. Stuff to do my nails, stuff for sewing and whatnot. I bought some like Gel X extensions, from a company called Beetles or something, I think it’s the same company that Randy bough me the foil glue from off of Amazon. So that’s fun. We’ll see how those are compared to my regular sculpted acrylic. I think they’ll be good for doing my nails in a pinch, but we’ll see how long they last. I’ve never used that type of extension before, so first time for everything haha.

What else is going on. Hmmm. It’s been just over 6 months since my dad passed and it’s just like been all a blur. There was so much going on during the whole time from when we moved out here, to when he passed, to when we buried him that it all kind of just blends together.

Brother A and his wife and kiddoes and her family are in France at the moment. They’re headed to Germany next. They’ve been sharing pics and the water looks so amazing lol. I just want a swimming pool lol. I’m waiting for a small 10’ one at Walmart to go on sale. Just so I can float around and get off of myself every now and again.

We are getting a new bed in the next couple of weeks though because ours is so thin and it’s a queen. Sleeping with two large humans and two large dogs gets a little crowded most nights. Plus we need to move to the front bedroom. But we’re going to get that room cleared out with all the dressers. I’m going to bag up all of my dad’s clothes, kind of go through it, see what I can sell, see what I can give away, or keep. My dad was a big man, wore a 3x, so none of the stuff will fit either of us, nor my brothers. So yeah, I’m sure there is somewhere I can donate or give it away. I know there are some brand new jeans in there that he never used.

Plus a bunch of stuff in the closet that we need to clear out so we can have a closet. I gotta clean out that closet and then de-cat it if you know what I mean.

We are trying to figure out a solution for flooring in the bedroom too. We wanted to do carpet, but we can’t afford that so I’m thinking we’ll get some peel and stick flooring because we need to do that with the bathroom anyway, and then a rug to put at the foot of the bed. I’ll have to see what Randy says.

We’re going to have to do everything slowly, but I’m going to try and document it all on TikTok. Hopefully see a final transformation and finally be able to make it a home for us. Some of the stuff isn’t going to take much to do, like knocking down the wall between the kitchen and living room. It’s just a wall, non load bearing. I don’t even think there are any electrical components in it.

So that will open up things nicely. We gotta move the stove to the back corner and then figure out where to put the refrigerator. I want to build a separate laundry room as well because having them in the kitchen leaves very little space for it. I mean I guess we could move them to the middle bedroom once we get that all sorted out.

Would make it easier to bring new ones in. Hmmmmm…lol.

I need to restart my sims and build the house as it is right now, and then make the changes as we make them. The one I currently have is what we ideally wanted our house to look like, but alas, that’s not going to end up happening.

Annnyywho, so I suppose that’s about it for now.

I have no idea how it's already 2022, let alone August of 2022!

despite the source of the $20k, I am so glad that you were able to catch up on things! I am sure it is a much needed relief.
