Cannon has a new phrase! "Bidat" which I think means "eat that," since he hands me food he wants me to eat when he says it... he is hilarious.

He also tries to feed me a lot. the other day he was trying to give me something and had it up to my mouth and I said "no thanks, I don't want that" and he said "bee?" (His word for please) so adorably that I took the food. he is silly.

We can't really take him anywhere anymore. the few places we have gone in the past few weeks have usually ended in quite a disaster. he is at an age where he gets bored easily and wants to run around wherever but can't always do that. At the grocery store today, he didn't want to stay in the seat of the cart after 10 minutes, and we weren't nearly done shopping. we tried to take him out but he was running everywhere and grabbing stuff, so I eventually had to pick him up and he screamed and yelled. I had to take him outside to the car while Jacob finished the trip. that is usually how our outings go lately, so we have been spending lots of time at home. he has a playset in the backyard that he can climb on and play in, so we have been doing that.

I usually bring toys and books with us when we go out, but he quickly gets bored of those, especially when there is a new place to explore. ;p He is a very energetic, curious, and adventurous kid and it is very hard to get him to sit still!

I really want to go for a walk but it is 1.30am. Actually the fact that is is nighttime during the summer is what makes me want to go for a walk. I miss being able to do that! I wouldn't do it now with a toddler, of course.

I have been feeling so much pressure on my bladder and it is super uncomfortable.

Also I ate like six oreos and now I feel gross. ;(

I was like that when I was a kid. My parents were always losing me in the store. My mom even attempted to use a kid leash at one point. (not a good idea)

It's funny that you mention the kid leash -- we just got Cannon a backpack that has an attachment that lets us hold onto it. he enjoys wearing it and we won't lose him that way! it is pretty helpful, although he isn't used to it yet and gets frustrated when he can't walk/run to wherever he wants to go because we are holding onto him. lol

It sounds bad but my phone and kindle tablet are life savers in situations like that with Lyric... Not so much the cart and shopping, she likes the carts and I try to make it as fun as possible for her- zig-zagging down the aisles, changing up speeds, and lots of lots of talk on my part "Ohh, Lyric! look at that, it's a ball, It's an orange ball,, oh! Look at the puppy! oh here's some bleach.. no bleach for you! Ahh look at all the toilet paper!"

When we go out to breakfast or dinner she gets really ansy really quickly (the food NEVER comes fast enough!) so I put on the bubble app or one of the puzzle apps and she does her thing until it's time to eat.

We do those exact things. he is obsessed with netflix so any time he gets to watch it, he is very excited. lol

I want to eat six oreos too!

Fox feeds me stuff as well. It's hard to say no when they're so little and cute. :)

Xan is the same way when we go out, so what we do is split up. Not only does Xander act better while I'm not around, him and his dad can look at fun stuff like the fish at walmart, or sunglasses/hats or toys while I get the shopping done. It also gives me a little alone time which I NEVER get, so it works out great for us! And since Eric doesn't have an agenda while shopping except to watch Xan, he can let him run around like he wants to if he isn't happy in the cart.
