I feel like writing but I don’t really have anything to say.
It’s 4:07 PM and I haven’t eaten anything yet today.
I’ve been glued to my desk.
I’ve taken two bathroom breaks, and other than that it’s just been meetings the whole day and testing this new feature that is consistently uncooperative, and that’s mostly because we’re leveraging a third party technology and the third party seem like they almost refuse to be cooperative or transparent…just like their tech. So it’s just really fucking frustrating.
Also, this particular piece of functionality is like…kind of the entire point of this new feature. Without it, the entire thing is useless.
So It’s literally been three days of this shit.
Thank god we have Monday off.
I’m on day 12 in a row pulling 9+ hour days
I’m ready for a break.
We’re going to go up to Orange County this weekend and hang with my dad and step mom, so that should be a good time. I’m looking forward to it.
I think both my parents will be busy on Monday so we’re probably going to sleep over Sunday night anyway and then do a little staycation on Monday. Maybe go to Downtown Disney and get some food and then hit some beaches.
Sure, we have beaches in San Diego, but when I moved here I was a little disappointed in them. They’re nice, I guess…I mean, they’re WAY better than the bullshit beaches you get in the Pacific Northwest, but…I do miss my OC beaches.
I think that’s the only thing I really miss about living in Orange County.
I like going up there as a tourist now
I’ve only lived in San Diego for three years, but I’ve totally taken it on
I’m classy, and I’ll stay that way.
That’s how we roll down here.

Have you been to Black Tap? with the ridiculous giant shakes with cheesecakes and cupcakes hanging off of them? there is one in Downtown Disney. I haven't been there yet but I really want to go and have a digustingly large shake. Just kill my body one shake at a time.

Oh what? I haven't been there. We ended up skipping DT Disney on Monday. We did lunch with my parents in Garden Grove at our favorite Korean style Chinese place (Peking Gourmet, get the Yaki Mandu for sure, and everything else you want because it's all great. For the Yaki use some soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes)
But then we just napped and ended up leaving early because our little man started throwing a fit.

If I want to go to the beach, I have to drive almost 4 hours to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) MX - all the while battling cartels who rape and pillage.
(That last bit is probably an exaggeration, but it has happened on occasion to Americans driving to and from Rocky Point).

My father in law lived in Mexico city for a few decades before he passed and he would tell us stories of highways you just couldn't go on because the cartel would rape, kill, and pillage entire bus-loads full of families.
It's disgusting what's going on...so sad.

We were just up at Camp Pendleton on Sunday, accidentally. We wanted to go to a Jack In The Box and it turned out it was on the base, and of course we can't get into the base, so we just had to turn around and then we were still hungry and then we were like, "DAMN YOU CAMP PENDLETON!!!!!!"
