I never thought it was going to happen. Rain that is. Last summer it rained every day not the same time every day but it did rain. We even went over our water table. There were no water restrictions. I walked the kids last year in more rain than ever in there lives. Even Romeo said the hell with it. Out we would go. Me in flip flops just a walkin. This year it has been so freaking hot it makes me tired. It makes everything look tired even the squirrels said wtf?
I did my Lil Lady and the VA vet and then on to the farmers mrkt. which was dead as hell due to the heat. Some of the vendors weren't even there due to the hotness of the day. But I was bound and determined to get my rice, sweet pot. bowl with greens oh hell to the yes. Well I ordered it and the guy made a mistake and added meat. O! No! Too tired I said the hell with it and ate it. Yes. Meat n all. I haven't ate good in days and I needed food real food that was made in a healthy sort of fashion. The meat didn't kill me tho it wasn't filled with it but next time I will pay attention. See what being tired does. Then I slept. Hard. I think it has to do with all the changes I have been going thru with a new schedule and all and let's not forget the friggen heat. Woke up slowly and just chilled. Yes, I shoulda woulda and coulda and said forget about it. Got a shower. Took the kids for a late walk and now I am sitting here watching James Taylor and Carole King playing live on wusf which is a pbs station. What the best ever. I grew up with these guys. He is so nice and so is she.
After a while I looked at my cell and got a call from my company and they wanted to send me out tom. a.m. and no. That would make it a 12 hour day. I gotta pull a 3 to 11 at a hospital. I covered for them last night. No. Now if it was the Lil Lady of course but other than that no. I don't want them to rely on me too much. Even tho I took a nap I won't be out of bed for too long tonight and I can sleep in tom. Yea me!
I am so lucky. I called the company that I signed up for and was suppose to have an orientation this week and I called her and apologized that I wasn't going to be able to take on the company right now. She is going to hold on to me in case it does slow down. I thought that was nice. Well going to chill some more and listen to the rest of James and Carole. Thank Gawd I am old and grew up with this. I wore out the Tapestry album. Peace In an Out.
