Cedar Point day 3 in 2022

I have been on all the coasters here and they are all amazing. Did I mention that my poor husband has pneumonia? We thought he had a bad cold, but it wasn’t getting better so yesterday he went to urgent care and got diagnosed. They gave him steroids, antibiotics, and a serious cough suppressant and he was feeling good enough to come ride a few rides this morning.

Today is our last day. Boy has already declared that he wants to come back here as a graduation present in two years. I rode a few coasters, the last one involved a two hour wait and after that I was DONE. But I don’t want to leave the kids in the park even though they can walk across the parking lot to the hotel, so I meant to get a soda and sit in a shady spot and wait for them. But the I saw a cart selling alcoholic beverages and decided to have one of those instead, so now I’m pleasantly buzzed and sitting in the shade quite happily.

Daughter had a friend from discord who lives nearby and came here to meet her. I met the kid and he’s very nice so they are running around together. She’ll text me when she’s ready to go (she’s almost 15, I promise I’m not being an irresponsible parent! Plus I exchanged phone numbers with the other kid’s mom.).

Until then I’m just going to sit here and enjoy the vibe. Tomorrow we’ll drive home (about 11 hours), Monday I work and the Tuesday son is taking his driving test. I may need to get drunk after that too, especially when I find out how much our car insurance is going to increase.
