Sunday 04/10/22 in Lady Loves the Ocean

Good Morning Sunday!!! 

Well, I missed yesterday. I was just busy. And it was a beautiful day. I enjoyed every minute of it. It was a good day to have a good day what can I say. 
This morning it is currently 45 degrees at 8:29 a.m. it is supposed to be close to 70 degrees. So it is going to be even better than yesterday. It got up to 60 yesterday and we had a little wind. We do have a chance of rain later this afternoon. That’s okay. We have rain in the forecast for a few days this week. But temps are supposed to be in the 50s and 60s until Thursday then it drops to the 40s again. Perfect walking weather. I got two good long walks in yesterday. I almost got the 3rd one in but I got interrupted by a neighbor that wanted to chat. And that is okay. 

So I got up early yesterday. I had my coffee and breakfast and then went for my first walk. When I got back I decided I didn’t want to hang around the house. So I decided to head to the city. I went to the dollar tree first. I got a few things I needed and a few I didn’t need. I got snacks that I didn’t need. But I wanted hard candy for my candy jar. I got some peanut butter pretzels, and then some mixed nuts. The price change from $1.00 to $1.25 sure makes things add up quickly. I spent $18. On what exactly I am not sure. I then went to one of my favorite thrift stores. Of course, where do I head for? The books. Their paperback books are $1.00 and the hardbacks are $1.50. I got 1 hardback and 4 paperbacks books. I also got a pizza cutter for .50 and a glass dish with a lid to use in the microwave for $2.00. So I spent $8.00. I was going to go to the thrift store next to Crowded Closet and decided not to. I stayed below my budget but I felt done. So I headed for home. 

It was just so nice. The sun was shining bright. I didn’t want to spend hours in stores. So I came home grabbed a little lunch and then I went to the park here in town. I put my music on and just walked and enjoyed the sunshine on me. I walked for over an hour. Then I sat for a while just soaking up the fresh air and sunshine. It was awesome. 

When I got back home I read for a while. And then I decided to get on the computer. And I got a message from my best friend in Wisconsin. That was a pleasant surprise. We talked and video chatted on Facebook for a few hours. It made me so happy to connect with her. We had a lot to catch up on. And then I made some dinner and then attempted that 3rd walk. And got caught by the neighbor. I then came inside and watched about an hour of tv and then went to bed to read. It was a great day. 

Today I am going to get out and do some walking. I plan to read and hopefully finish my current book. “Safe House” by Stuart Woods. Before my walk, I need to put my boneless pork ribs in the crockpot for later. I am going to check and see what my son’s plans are. I might run-up to their house depending on what their plans are. If they are busy I will get outside for a while. I could wash my car. There is no shortage of things I can do around the house. But I am not in the mood for that. 

Tonight “American Idol” is on. So I will be watching that. I have a few favorites picked out. The one I am really pulling for is “Hunter Girl”. She is a country singer. And she posted her new song on her profile this week. It is so good.
