Happy Thanksgiving! I will be hosting the actual feast tomorrow afternoon, but today mom and dad made it and we’ve had a nice day/evening, so it was a fine dress rehearsal for the day.
Picked up all of the dinner at the fancy grocery store and they had it down to a science. They had a pick-up tent outside the store and had assigned pick up times every 15 minutes. Amazing.
All I need to do is heat the turkey for 2.5 hours tomorrow and heat up the sides. It all looks really tasty and I hope it’s a easy as they say.
But I’m tucked into bed now and pretty damn tired, I did a lot to get everything ready for them. So far so good. I’ll let you know how it goes with my bumbling bro, SIL and niece! I say that because they can never get their shit together. I’ll have to tell you the story of them being broke and then realizing that they are not really broke - they just couldn’t figure out which account they’d put their money.
I shouldn’t worry about their issues, but the bumbling part affects me when it’s in MY living space.
