Nothing much in 2014: The Year That Was

I’m struggling a bit this morning so thought I’d turn to the person who actually gives a f*ck :) It’s a shame to feel like this today, drained, disengaged, feeling the hit to the back of the head from a few too many Thursday night emails to greet me this Friday morn. Le sigh. But let me share some good news with you (of sorts), I had my internal interview yesterday for a job I’ve already informally interviewed for a few weeks before. IT and Fixed Income Service Delivery Manager – Incident & Problem Manager! It’s 2 levels up from what I do at the moment AND closer to the business (read closer to the money), this is the first job that if I got, I’d actually feel like I was doing something, doing something well! And not too shabby for the man who was on the street a little over 10 years ago.

We’ll see. I find out next week. I don’t actually feel I’ve got it, there were some new questions that I’d not been asked in interviews before, strategy level/senior management type questions. These are the questions at least I should be teaching myself the answers for. Not much else going on. The lights get turned off late at the weekend but the voices are from the TV, early for the Monday.
