I ABSOLUTELY cannot believe that my little nugget of love is going to be 6 months old in a few days. She honestly is the coolest person that I know and I cant get over how much I love her. She is so smiley and giggly and ugh, I could just eat her up.

Updates on her cool doings.....Today I took a random day off and we went to the lactation group that we went to all the time on my maternity leave. She has only had breastmilk for this amount of time and I am super proud of that! She weighed in just under 15 lbs, little peanut. She has more than doubled her birth weight of 7lbs 3oz so that is VERY good! She has been practicing using a sippy cup for a couple of weeks. She likes it and ends up spilling a lot of it, but its good practice. Last night she played with a spoon for the first time and she thought that was pretty cool. Within the next few days I am planning on trying her first food! I made 12 days worth of sweet potatoes that are now in the freezer! Our second food will be avocado.

She has started to sit up for very short periods. She has the balance and strength for it. She can roll over both ways but doesnt really care to. She likes her little bouncer and her bumbo chair. She is chewing on EVERYTHING. She has been starting to teethe for 2 months but none are poking through yet. She has also recently found her voice. She enjoys babbling and screams sometimes. It is very cute. And, she started swimming lessons at the YMCA this past weekend. Its a class on Sunday mornings called Shrimp for kids ages 6 months - 2 years. It is SO CUTE and she looks absolutely delicious in her bathing suit.

I think that is all...I am sure we are forgetting something. We went to Philly a couple of weekends for her first hotel stay. My brothers wedding is a month from today so my Mom and I went down with Piper. Overall she did a GREAT job in the car. She got completely sick of it on the way back and cried for a bit, but I cant blame her....6 hours in the car is a LOT when you are 5 months old. So, in the morning when she woke up, I had her come in bed with me in the hotel. Well, apparently the detergent that they use is too strong because my poor little nugget still has a rash on her face.

Alright, time to pump and get ready for bed. I will try to come back soon and update again. I want to remember EVERY.SINGLE.DETAIL.
