The Next Chapter in 2021

I thought I’d come back here and start writing again.

Back in the days of OD, I chronicled the pregnancy, birth, and early years of my first (and only) daughter.

Two days ago, I dropped her off at university. My little girl.

I was mostly just excited for her until tonight. I went to leave the porch light on for her and it hit me that she’s not just late from work, she’s gone, really gone, and I felt winded.

My entire adulthood has been spent as a mother. I don’t know a life without her there.

I guess this is the first step into my next chapter.
