42 years in TIME Flies and other Thoughts

I became a MRS.
(We dated for 2 ½ years prior and it was magical)
He was a Knight-n-Shining Armor that I stumbled upon
He opened my car door, opened the door to a Restaurant, Pulled out my chair and even asked if he could kiss me!
And he respected me.

We were married in Sacramento, California.
Our wedding was small, maybe 75.
We went to Disneyland for our Honeymoon. (I had always wanted to go there).

My husband was in the Military, and we lived near Merced, CA.
All of our family at that time lived in California.
We were always going to visit them.
I saw my family in Sacramento about every 3 months.
We spent a great deal of time being involved in our Church.
We were the Caretakers of our Church for several years and living in the Parsonage.
It was a great yard for large Family Gatherings and Church Picnics.
We had 2 Children while living in this house.
We lived in the area for 6 1/2 years before getting orders to England.

My husband is a great guy. NEVER possessive or demanding.
Great Provider!
Loves Jesus.
He is a Homebody and could be a loner (if I let him).
That is sometimes good for me in that he knows I am super social, and I need to be around my friends and go go go and do do do.
So, he’s like, “Have a good time.” He is more happy to just stay home.
As much as I would like to see him a little more active, at the same time, he IS home. He is not hanging in the Bars or chasing Women.
It is not so great when I want us to do things and go places. Over the years, the go and do together has become less important to me, so I don’t push it much.

When you are young and newly married you can’t imagine life ever going haywire.
Life is great now but hasn’t always been easy.
Having Jesus Christ in our lives is what has held us together.
It is when we didn’t keep HIM center is when we had some issues.

This song- “Always and Forever” I wrote down in our Marriage book- it still gives me chills when I hear it.
