If He Were Alive in Dreams And Nightmares

I’d punch him in the face.
Had an intense nightmare about my dad. He’d sometimes get in a bad mood and take it out on whoever was unlucky enough to be around him. Needless to say that would have been me a lot.
Anyways, in the dream he was in a mood and I was walking on eggshells trying to not piss him off when there was a noise in the bathroom. I checked and the sink was gushing water at the bottom. Of course he came in and started yelling st me over something that wasn’t my fault.
Not trying to be rude but it’s little reminders like that that makes me glad he died. I know that’s really screwed up to say but those last few years…you just had to have been there. I never want to go through dumb stuff like that again. Hell, it was the realization that my idiot drug/drinking buddies would eventually turn out to be his idiot friends who couldn’t keep a job/steady address and would crash on our living room floor so I cut ‘em all loose.
I guess I woke up on the salty side of the bed.

For what it's worth, I'm glad he's gone, too. If for no other reason than you're no longer forced to associate with him.

Dad's like that suck. Mine 8s a sociopath, my stepdad was cool but my stepdad was the one who died.
