I AM IN LOVE!!!

thenails

this shape always intimidated me for some reason or another. i had this shape done for me back years ago when i got my nails done before our housewarming party lol. but I had never done them myself I love how they came out.

i’ve also wanted to do this color scheme forever but i never had the proper colors of nail polish. Now that I have gel polish that i can cure with a lamp, i was able to use just some regular old craft paint (I paint with the 50c apple barrel paints) to create this look.

I used Laguna as a base which is a turquoise. I did my right thumbnail with lines and I didn’t like how it came out so I fiddled around with the stamping plates I have and made do. I stamped a Sequin Black and Antique Copper over the Laguna. both the black and copper are metallic as you can tell, mostly with the copper. then i let it dry for about 20 minutes before i went over with the gel top coat and cured it. i absolutely love them for sure.

I need so many things to keep doing them though. My wishlist it still up. I have a whole nail list with lots of fun stuff on it lol. The Top things i need are the drill, because hand filing is ridiculously time consuming. I do hand file the finishing touches just because I know i can get the right shape by actually filing the nail itself rather than letting the drill do it. you can’t feel the differences in texture with a drill, but you can with a hand file.

I know someone is going to pop on here and say “WHY DON’T YOU OPEN YOUR OWN SALON!” There IS a nail tech academy here, that I would eventually like to go to. But it’s also $10k for a 12 week program. So, yeah there’s that. I don’t want to build a client list without having all the proper training I need due to the fact that I am confident enough to work on my own nails in the comfort of my own home but I’m not going to risk doing someone elses nails before I have that proper training.

It’s not as easy as telling people I do nails because you can’t breathe legally here without someone asking if you have a license. I know that when we do in fact move back home, It will be so much easier to do that kind of stuff (also selling food out of my home) there. But here, people will knock you over on their way to calling the police on you.

Anywho, I did actually have some interest in my hammocks, so we’ll see what comes of that exactly. 10 Double Lined Fleece Hammocks with Grommets and Shower Hooks to hang, for $60. how does that sound to any of you that own small animals?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
