How is it possible… Summer is a month old already!!
With her and Noelle keeping me going full time, one day just seems to blend into the next - Summer usually wakes up at least once every night as well, so I think it’ll be a while before I get a good night’s sleep again!
What didn’t help was just as Summer arrived, we had a heatwave here, so in addition to being tired and worn out, the heat was literally draining me, not the thing you want for the first week of having a brand new baby! The temperatures are now down at a far more manageable level though, so that’s one thing I guess.
I haven’t got that much to update on to be honest, other than Noelle was looking at Summer a lot the first week or so with a “who/what’s this in my house?” look on her face. At the moment, I’m keeping Summer in with myself and Tom at night, rather than with Noelle, the last thing I want is Summer waking Noelle up each night and I’ll have to deal with a grumpy Noelle every day as well.
At some point I’d like to get our own place for me, Tom and the girls, but right now with Tom being the only one working, plus with all the covid fallout trashing the economy and jobs, it’s not viable - it needs both of us working I think. House prices are so ridiculous.
Right, while I have some peace, I’m going to grab a cup of tea and stick my nose in a book for a bit.
