You would think my much beloved kids could be tactful when requesting something. No?

There they were, both together on one phone call looking wonderful. What were they calling about? Demanding not asking. Insisting that I use a walker inside. They don’t want to hear that I fall all the time, which I do. I do keep canes in almost every room.

Now that they are in their 50’s, they suddenly seem to notice me as I wear out. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been in the hospital. Perhaps they thought that was because I fell. Nope, I went up to have someone help find a solution for my open sores. The kids didn’t want to hear that.

My kidney function was going down so the Urgent Care doc hospitalized me for three days. I had George and a book with me. The food wasn’t bad, but it was “Heart Healthy.” George brought me home with my sores intact despite all their IV efforts. We ate take-out rolled tacos, beans, and rice while watching the horrific news from Florida.

  • Himself: In EVE space. Tommy’s funeral at one. What a talented man he was.
  • Myself: Writing, reading, funeral.
  • Reading: 2nd time: Monuments Men.
  • Watching: Netscape
  • Photo: 1973: Paul Hawkins.
  • Gratitude’s: That I am home.

Heart Healthy reminds me of a period in the 80s or early 90s when that was the big thing. Glad you're home and have tacos to boot.
My heart quails every time that news item runs or updates. I can't even imagine. The middle of the night?

I, too, am receiving a lot of attention from my off-spring these days. One day I love it. Next day, not so much.

I hear the very valid frustration!

A Walker might be good :-) Just in case.
Sorry your sores have not healed yet.
What a cute picture!
