Enough nudes.
Enough flowers.
Enough fruit.
Enough landscapes.
Don’t feel the need to look at them all. Take a few minutes. If you like them, come back later for a few more.
There are enough.
Plenty in fact.

You know my Renoir stories? I like to tell them.
He came from a poor family. He made his living and supported his parent and siblings handpainting china. He was very good and he made a good living.
Then.
Transfer printing of china came in, and he was out of a job. The world ended. Technology's fault.
So he HAD to become an artist, so he could continue supporting his family.
He is also credited with saying he painted pretty pictures because there was so much ugliness already.
AND.
Degas came from a wealthy family - of course, ballet and race horses - they were bankers.
But they fell on hard times. It was the painter who kept them going too.
I love to think of the practicality of art - the work - the rewards.
