Yet another GFM Update in A Day in the Life of Me

Still no word from AC, getting a tad annoyed. I sent a FB msg to him today, just to be like, “Hey! Just checking in!”
Not much to update on the GFM. It seems to have stagnated. I was hoping to hit at least the $1000 mark, but there’s still time! I am not going home yet, and she has still to get the second ( possibly 3rd) quote in.
Just keep posting to get the shares and hope it will be spotted by someone that will be able to share.
Went to the mall for the first time in 5 weeks with open stores today. Did some damage in Bath and bodyworks, and Lush lol

I am wondering if her electrical company has discounts or programs for people like her? I know Canada has a few programs to help the older people like your mom. I wish i could give you the total amount but I am living month to month I hope someone will help you.

NS Power will do nothing. They only care about their bottom line. There is a grant program here I have been trying to encourage her to apply to, but she has a few concerns about her eligibility, as well as the fact that this is a time sensitive issue, its been a week and a bit now, and its something that really needs to be fixed yesterday.

stupid question? why don't you call the company for her and tell them her concerns and I am sure they will answer all of the questions. I just wish monopolies would be more kind to their customers.

with the grant companies, it tends to be the ones who are applying that they will deal with.
She's pretty sure its the same company my father went through a few years before he died to get some upgrades done, and because of that, she's working on getting a number of quotes and such first. I think I have her convinced to DO it, she's just stalling now lol

I just feel bad for people who have to spend money they really don't have and it's the government standards that everyone has to have these energy saving stuff. I hope your mom gets this soon and it won't cost her her life savings.
