Not-So-Sunny Sunday in These Foolish Things

It’s going to be cloudy today, but I’m relieved that it’s likely not going to be the stormy day they said it would be. I will eventually get out of this bed and get walking with Martini pup.

Yesterday was nice. My parents came in town and my brother and SIL and niece came out and we all went to lunch at this Chinese place where they hand-pull noodles and fold the dumplings very authentically and my SIL was really happy. We had quite a feast and my bro stepped up to the plate and paid for the whole thing - which is HUGE.

Later, we went over to the park across the way and mom and dad couldn’t walk over to the playground where my niece could play so they waited on a park bench. I was able to have a little talk with my brother. I told him that mom and dad were going to need help since they are getting older and trying so hard to help me. I feel helpless in this matter, so I asked him to please help.

He agreed. He told me that he’ll step up and added that he also wanted to help ME too. He is close and he can help me with things that I may need (which, again, I just don’t even know yet). He also offered help with medical MJ as needed. He told me that he has a “lifetime supply” of something called Delta 8 and told me to just let him know what I need.

As of right now, my appetite has not decreased one bit. I have lost exactly 0.0 lbs of weight since this ordeal. They say that cancer steals all of the energy you consume and uses it in different ways and you lose weight without trying, but that has NOT been the case for me.

Who knows with chemo, though?

I’m tired of cancer talk.

Oh! I’m getting a new car on Tuesday! It’s something I had in the works before this whole pesky cancer thing popped up. I ordered my Mini Pearl II several months ago and she has finally arrived! I haven’t even seen her, but she’s gonna be mine come Tuesday! And that’s great because my lease was up on the 10th. They are letting me ride this thing out (pun intended) until then.

I’ve also asked them NOT to make me sit in their offices for any amount of time because of my lowered immune system and those guys at the dealership have been notorious for not masking properly. I told them I have my lunch hour and that’s IT. Last time I had to do paperwork it took like six hours and I don’t have that kind of time. Sign the papers and let’s GO!

Speaking of GO. I want to get on with this Sunday after already losing an hour and get my walk on. So I will close now.

Love and don’t forget to change your clocks!

I coveted a Mini for a long time. Hope you can post pics of yours...she sounds like a beaut!

Such a good idea to set boundaries with the car people. It should NOT take six times the amount of time to lease a car as it does to close on a house. Ridiculous! What a miracle that your brother seems willing to help out at last!

Six hours to sign papers for a car?!?!? That sounds... stupid. I hope they get their shit together. A new car is a great thing to look forward to!

Glad your brother is all set to step up to the plate. And a new car? Exciting! I’m thinking about one too but there’s too much choice! :)
